LIFE GOAL: TURNING 21 IN AMERICA !!
I had to go experience my 21st birthday IN AMERICA ! I mean who wouldn’t want to taste a juicy burger from In and Out ? Who wouldn’t want to hail a cab in NYC ? & most importantly who wouldn’t want to hear a true American accent for the first time ever !!
A LITTLE TIP: WHEN THEY SAY “THE MEAL SERVES 1-2 PEOPLE” please don’t believe it !! When I arrived back in Australia I felt like a walking marsh-mellow! (No offence to marsh-mellows) But seriously the portion size over there is insane ! Indulge if you wish, I mean you are on holidays, but I guess I may of over indulged a little too much, oops…
LA – HOLLYWOOD
This was our first stop of our trip ! We only had 2 nights in LA, as we had a busy itinerary ahead of us. Therefore, we decided to do a HOP ON HOP OFF BUS tour. This bus basically allows you to see as many main attractions as possible in a short period of time.
So, if you are anything like me, a little bit lazy and cannot be bothered walking sometimes, this bus is PERFECT for you ! You can literally rest your feet and see main attractions from a bird eye view. Although, on the downside you will be hearing a lot of beeping & road rage. That’s LA traffic for you.. Don’t say I didn’t warn you !
CELEBRITY HOUSE TOUR
(this was included with our hop on hop off bus ticket)
SANTA MONICA PIER
LA HOLLYWOOD SIGN
Typical tourist photo (I know) But come on if your in LA, you have to take a photo in front of the sign.
LAS VEGAS BABY !
LAS VEGAS! WOW ! I am telling you, once night time hits that’s when Las Vegas comes to life. When we first arrived in this beautiful city, we did not even know where to look. Literally everything in Las Vegas is so bedazzled. Even the Maccas & Stop sign had diamonds flashing on it??? This place is definitely a fantasy like environment.
HOP ON HOP OFF BUS TOUR
This hop on hop off bus tour included: 2 different routes (down town and the strip), A Museum pass, Night Tour and the Eiffel tour experience. Honestly, seeing everything from a birds eye view especially at night is incredible. Photos cannot describe it.
GRAND CANYON – 8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD
Come and see exactly what I experienced at Grand Canyon. We purchased a day tour although we payed a little bit extra and we had a pink jeep drive us around Grand Canyon.
MICHAEL JACKSON CONCERT
Wow, Las Vegas exceptions were reached on another level – this concert was amazing. I felt as if I was literally watching MJ Live. You just can’t “beat it”.
IM IN MIAMI
Miami – a place to party up, see beautiful beaches and feel the vibes. Everyone has different experiences of different places of the world. But Miami was not what I was expecting. Maybe we didn’t explore enough or know the “right” places to go, but I just didn’t feel as if I saw much besides beaches, cafes and shops. The vibes were awesome at night (especially halloween night). Maybe my exceptions were to high, has anyone else been to Miami and felt the same? Although there were still plenty of things that were great to see there 🙂
HOP ON HOP OFF BUS TOUR
Our hotel we stayed at in Miami, was very central to the beach and had a French influence to it. When we first arrived I was so confused about the decor as I was not expecting it, but the room was classic, stylish and a bit different which I liked.
NEW YORK CITY BABY
Where shall I start with this beautiful city? Absoutley stunning. When we first arrived in NYC I felt as if i was in a reality tv show or a popular NYC movie. Let me tell you it felt good eating NYC pizza and hearing a true accent of a New Yorker.
HOP ON HOP OFF TOUR (surprise, surprise)
The hop on hop off includes NYC Skyline, A ferry, night tour. There are so many different things to see in NYC this bus will literally be your BEST FRIEND !
STATUE OF LIBERTY
This ferry ticket (which is included in the hop on hop off tour) will take you to see the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately this ticket doesn’t allow you to hop off. Your Instagram photos will be only be in the ferry. 😦
This place lights up at night, its beautiful just to watch everyone ice skate. (Especially the ones that are just first starting out, I know thats terrible to say haha)
OVERALL EXPERIENCE OF USA
My USA experience was something I can never forget. For starters I turned 21 whilst in LAS VEGAS so that was a mile stone of its own. I loved the food, culture and the overall experience of “living” like an American for 2 weeks. Sure I put on a couple of kgs from a few to many NYC Cheesecakes and scoffing down big juicy breakfasts, but thats what a part of going to America is for right? I would definitely go back to USA and travel to other parts of the country, although I’m already dreading the plane ride. Who else has travelled to USA? Share below your favourite experience 🙂
